Congratulations X-press Feeders – Christening Ceremony Eco Maestro

Dear Reader,

Yesterday, part of the RST team had the honor to be part of a very special celebration party.  We were invited by the X-Press Feeders team to be part of the christening ceremony of their first dual fuel green methanol powered vessel, the Eco Maestro.

After a well organized welcome at the Willemina Pier Hotel New York the party boarded the Prices Amalia and set sail towards the Maasvlakte.  We docked at ECT where the Eco Maestro was official named and welcomed to the X-Press Feeders fleet. As can be seen in the picture, the Dutch weather played a significant role during the boat trip and ceremony but mainly due to the flexible mindset of the organisation the afternoon was a great success.

Via this message, the RST team once again would like to congratulate the whole X-Press Feeders family with this impressive milestone. We look forward to facilitating a first call of these sustainable vessels at RST and be part of the many green corridors the Eco Maestro and future sister vessels will safely sail on.

Every child deserves a chance at a bright future

“Every child deserves a chance at a bright future”
Partnership RST and Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation

Empowering children who lack opportunities so they can become ‘leaders of their own futures’. That is what the Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation (GvBF) is all about, and it is the main reason why RST has become a ‘friend’ of this foundation. In this article, Jacqueline Jonkhart (GvBF) and Jeroen Hooft (RST) share their views. “We want to build a sustainable relationship and provide a safety net of companies where they are welcome.”

It all started with Feyenoord legend Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Jacqueline explains: “GvBF was created to address the lack of opportunities for many children in Rotterdam. Giovanni, who experienced limited resources as a little boy, understands the importance of support and opportunities like no one else. He has always remained aware that it was not just his amazing talent, but also the people around him who provided him with the opportunity to build a bright future. So, for him and his wife, it was a no-brainer that every child deserves such a chance, and society must support these children. That is why they founded GvBF in 2012. The foundation helps children develop their potential and gain essential skills and confidence to achieve their goals.”

Our first family festival was a great success

On the 22 of September last we head the pleasure to welcome colleagues, friends and families and host the first RST family festival event.

A day where proud colleagues had the opportunity to share great food and drinks with the loved ones and show them around at our terminal location in the Rotterdam Eemhaven area.  A great opportunity for all to showoff the important terminal hub that RST is and which they call there workplace 24 hours per day 365 days per week.
